During this holiday season, make sure you don't lose sight of the true meaning of christmas: your love for others is measured in how much money you spend and how much meaningless shit you buy them.
Also, If you ever find yourself feeling depressed this time of year, just follow baby Jesus' example and smile! At least you are not an aborted fetus.

Your excellent post reminds me of something that's been on my mind lately. How much choice did Mary have anyway? Could she have "just said no"? Just wondering - -
The previous post made me wonder, too, so I looked it up. The angel comes to Mary and tells her "thou shall conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS." And she says, "How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?" The angel explains that "The Holy Ghost shall come upon her" which deepens this medical mystery. Wouldn't conception be more likely if the Holy Ghost came inside her rather than upon her? But let us not wander too far afield from the original question of Mary's consent. Mary tells the angel "be it unto me according to thy word" which sounds like consent to me. I assume she could have "just said no" as anonymous wonders. So there you have it . . . straight from the first chapter of Luke.
jtea's previous comment should be stricken from the blog. This whole blog is a disgrace. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.
Happy Birthday today, Natalie ! ! !
People who comment anonymously are a disgrace and should be stricken from the blog.
I find it a strange coincidence that "anonymous," "jtea," and "guess who?" all post within a few minutes of eachother. Hmmm....
